Finding the Right Fit
How do I know if this equipment will actually work for my specific needs?
To make sure you get exactly what you need, fill out our availability form. We’ll review your details and give you a personalized recommendation.
I have zero experience with audio systems. Am I going to be able to use this?
Absolutely! You don’t need to be a sound engineer to host a great event. We provide clear, detailed instructional videos for our systems, and the gear is designed to be “plug-and-play.” If you can plug in a toaster, you can probably run our audio.
My event is in a spot with no power outlets nearby. Will the system still work?
Power is no problem. All of our systems have a battery-powered option. We can provide a portable battery system as an add-on, giving you professional sound in the middle of a field, a park, or anywhere else you can imagine.
Cancellations & Timing
What is your cancellation policy?
Once you book your system, that specific equipment is reserved for you, and we turn down any other requests for those items on that date. Because of this, we do not provide refunds for cancellations made within 28 days of your event. If you need to cancel and are more than 28 days out, we are happy to provide a full refund.
My event is coming up in less than a week—can I still book gear?
Yes! We are happy to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible. As long as the equipment is available and you are able to pay the deposit before your event date, we can get you taken care of.
Logistics & Pickup
What kind of vehicle do I need to bring to pick up the equipment?
Our systems are surprisingly portable! Generally, everything will fit in the clear back seat of a standard sedan, like a Honda Civic. We just recommend avoiding subcompact cars or vehicles filled with other gear to ensure everything fits safely.
Damage & Liability
What happens if I damage the equipment?
We expect “normal wear and tear” (minor scuffs or cable use), and we don’t charge for that. However, if the equipment is significantly damaged due to accidents or negligence—such as being dropped from a height or getting wet—you will be responsible for the cost of repair or the full replacement value of the item.
Do I need to be the one to pick up the gear, or can I send someone else?
We know how busy event days can be! While the person who signs the contract is the one legally responsible for the equipment, you are more than welcome to send a friend, family member, or coordinator to handle the pickup and return—especially if you’re busy with your wedding!
Performance & Tech
Can I connect my phone to the system to play music?
Yes! All our systems support Bluetooth for wireless convenience. However, we also include physical adapters for every type of phone. We usually recommend using the physical connection for maximum reliability—it’s the best way to ensure your music doesn’t skip a beat.
How reliable are the wireless microphones?
- Wedding Pro / Event Pro: These feature top-of-the-line, professional-grade wireless tech. It doesn’t get much more reliable than this.
- Event Essentials / Wedding Essentials: These are reliable for most standard setups. However, they can occasionally experience cutouts if “line of sight” is blocked (e.g., if a crowd of people gets between the microphone and the receiver).
Will the microphones work in the wind? (The Palouse can get pretty gusty!)
Our handheld mics handle the wind very well. If you are using headworn mics, the Wedding Pro / Event Pro system is the standout performer for wind resistance. While the Essentials headworn mic works for most weddings, we usually recommend having a handheld mic on standby for the officiant if it’s an exceptionally windy day.
What happens if something goes wrong with the equipment during my event?
We have a perfect track record of successful events! To keep it that way, we double-check every piece of gear before it leaves our shop. We also provide those instructional videos to help you troubleshoot common setup errors. If you’re still stuck, you can always give us a call.
